The business

Kellie Fox is the founder of “The Positive Poo Talk Project and author of “Peter Pickle & the Poo Fair.”

The book is based on a cheeky character with a serious message—breaking the silence on childhood gut health, one story at a time.

The project

When Kellie approached us, she wasn’t just launching a website—she was starting a conversation. A long-overdue one. As a Colon Hydrotherapist, children’s book author, and passionate advocate for early gut health education, Kellie’s mission was clear: help families flush out the shame and start talking positively about poo.

Her beautifully illustrated book, Peter Pickle & the Poo Fairy, was already delighting little readers and opening up important dialogue around digestive health. But she needed a home online—a site that would support book sales, share her why, and become a trusted hub for parents, carers, and practitioners navigating the not-so-glamorous (but oh-so-important) world of poo.

From gut instinct to great design:
After experiencing her own digestive health journey following an appendectomy, Kellie became a Colon Hydrotherapist. Years of listening to clients revealed a common thread: gut issues often begin in childhood. School toilet anxiety, long-term laxative use, and a general silence around poo—this was more than a one-off problem. It was a pattern.

We worked with Kellie to shape her website around this story—part personal journey, part resource centre, and part celebration of her book. It had to feel nurturing, supportive, and slightly magical (just like Peter Pickle himself), while still maintaining professionalism and clear pathways for different visitors.

A website that flows better than fibre:
Visually, we leaned into the whimsical world of the book while ensuring usability was top of mind. We created:

  • A calm, kid-friendly colour palette.
  • Clear navigation for busy parents.
  • Thoughtful layout with sections for the book, Kellie’s backstory, and helpful links.
  • A gentle balance of fun and credibility—because poo talk should be positive, not patronising.

We also made sure it would grow with her brand—whether that means adding future resources, a second book, or a blog full of gut-friendly tips and tales.

The final website brings Kellie’s vision to life in a way that’s approachable and empowering. It invites visitors in with warmth, encourages open conversation, and shines a light on the real issues that so often get flushed aside.

Not only did the website scored 100% on best practices and SEO, and high on performance and accessibility, it also had a high number of visitors within the first week of launch.

A line graph from Google Analytics showing growth in website metrics for Positive Poo Talk: 202 active users (+910%), 995 event count (+702.4%), and 201 new users (+905%)—highlighting strong interest in digestive health over the past 7 days.
